One of my favorite things at site

It’s Friday, so if you’ve had a long week, you might need a little daily dose of beauty.

Peace Corps Colombia operates on what is called la costa de Colombia.  Colombia actually has two coasts, but for some reason it’s here that it’s “the coast” and that the people are called costeños (“coastals”).  While we operate on “the coast,” I am one of a lucky few volunteers to actually be placed in a beachy site.  I am one of a lucky few volunteers who gets to see beautiful things like this.

Left: The water the day after rain is actually blue, and it’s gorgeous. In this photo is a group of fishermen pulling in a gigantic net.  It was still waaaaaay out there when I snapped this.

Right: I will say that these sunsets are rare, but this was one special one that I caught at the end of a rugby practice.  Amazeballs, right?!

  1. Amazeballs indeed. What an incredibly beautiful stretch of terra firma. ¡Que tierra linda y estupenda!
